The participants of the workshop by Laura Doorneweerd will tell you all about history, badass female history. No ticket needed, just hop in!
Something witty this way comes! RHYMES WITH WITCHES is an all-girls team doing long-form improv in English. After taking a suggestion from the audience, these 7 women will take you on a crazy journey through a live montage of kooky stories, crazy characters, insane scenes and silly situations, all made up on the spot.
Somewhat Theatre adapt local folk tales for the stage. They aren’t what you’d call exact adaptations, but you could argue they’re faithful, in an absurdist way.
It’s all very serious and all very silly.
Playful experimental theatre from some of London’s cleverest idiots. Uniquely us, but tied to wherever we go.
Rohit Nair and Nasir Engineer team up to bring their signature improv format to the international stage.
In this show, the two of them will take on the task of setting up a crime and solving it, all the while playing different characters, interacting with the audience and most importantly, improvising every damn thing.
So who is the murderer? Let’s go solve this crime.
Atlantis is the name of an island mentioned in two texts by the Greek philosopher Plato that has always been shrouded in mystery: did it exist? Is it just a fiction?
The show tells the story of a city that, like Atlantis, disappeared without a trace. Who inhabited it? What were its inhabitants like? What exactly happened?
Infamous, notorious, and probably untold! After a full-day workshop, Laura’s students will perform their showcase. The players will be inspired by the stories of the bad and badass women from history and improvise moments that may (or should) have been.
No lesson plans. Instead, the focus is on pinpointing the individual students’ tendencies. Find out what your strengths are and where you could explore further. Working in a non-stop series of short, quick scenes, you will learn what your patterns are and how to break them through personalized challenges. Maximized stage time guaranteed. Great for beginners who want to develop new skills and for professionals who want to keep fresh.
This improv class will focus on learning realistic mime techniques, improving environmental work, and enriching physical choices for use in solo and scenework. Learn the practical skills to create clear, specific, and engaging mimework and then experience how these tools can invigorate your improv or character work!
The side of the stage is one of the most powerful places to be in improv. If you watch a scene passively, it might die on the stage. But with the right entrance, line, or sound effect, you can make it truly great. Kevin Miller will teach you how to hone your instinct for an offer from the sidelines—know when to join the scene, when to stay off, and how to seamlessly become part of the show.
