We’ll work with the difference between you as the improv-player and you as the character, finding what’s dramatically or theatrically interesting about a scene and how to make a character just intriguing to watch. You’ll learn how to be bold, get some insight on dramatics and how to make choices as the character and as the player.
This workshop is about solo improv, and how to play multiple characters by yourself. At the end of this workshop you will be able to play a scene with 2 or more characters in it. We will touch on subjects like: Play a broad scope of characters. How to make them recognizable in both physique and language. How to keep track of the story. And have some fun with cinematic wizardry. Oeee!!
Because it is a solo-workshop we will also experience typical solo-challenges such as: create clear and bold offers, make every idea count, trust your skill. And don’t forget to breathe! You will practice alone and in pairs, and play solos in front of the group. You already have some knowledge of scenework/storytelling and are able to reflect on your own and others. I will be well prepared with a toolbox of knowledge and chocolates.

How can we use our own Bouffon in Improv? Together we will dive deep into the physical world of Bouffon.
The Bouffon state is an extreme state of playfulness. The strength of the Bouffon is their sense of ensemble. To feel free as a group and have a safe place to let go and loosen up. It's a powerful tool to develop a completely new feeling for your improv. And it's so much fun!
We will do exercises, games that promise to invigorate you and encourage you to find the pleasure in play both as a group and as a solo player. We will conclude with Bouffon ensemble experiments.
Note: This course also involves writing, so please come prepare with a pen and a notebook!
