Nele Kießling (Hanover/Germany) fell in love with improvised theatre at the age of 16 and realized very quickly: that’s it!
She is the founder of Schmidt’s Katzen, the first women improv company of Germany which she was part of for 15 years. With her duo Kießling&Kaffka she explores new ways of combining theatre and music. Regularly she enters the stage with Die Stereotypen to celebrate improv comedy shows. Besides that she is a host for live events and is running an improv school.
Jannis Kaffka is an improv musician/performer, composer and songwriter from Hamburg (Germany). His work as an improv musician started 17 years ago. At the moment he is a member of the improv ensembles Hidden Shakespeare (Hamburg), Schmidt’s Katzen (Hildesheim) and Kießling&Kaffka (Hannover/Hamburg). He teaches stage performance for musicians at Hochschule Osnabrück and musical improvisation at Theater für Niedersachsen. He also works as a composer for theatre plays and film music and as a songwriter in several genres for Sony/ATV.
