Kaisa is an actor and director from Finland. Kaisa started improvising with
Improvisaatioteatteri JOO! (Jyväskylä, Finland) in 2005 having some 10 years of
scripted theatre work under her belt. She later co-founded Mikäklubi (2012), the
longest running improv show in Central Finland, alongside with ImproKampus
(2017) the first Finnish speaking improv school in Finland. Now she runs her own
improv school in Helsinki, Finland.
During the last 14 years Kaisa has performed in and created both unscripted and
scripter theatre pieces including a lot of musicals, taught musical theatre at the
University of Applied Sciences in Jyväskylä (Finland), studied education (M.Ed),
dancing, musical instruments and enjoyed little things in life that matters. Kaisa
has performed regularly in several different shows in Finland during the last 10
years and frequently tours around the world (passed tours include Costa Rica,
Peru, USA, Canada, Australia and all over Europe), guesting, directing and
teaching in different theatres and festivals.
Kaisa is very grateful to have been able to perform/teach at Seattle international
festival of improvisation, Phoenix Improv Festival, Vancouver international
improv Festival, Improv Fest Ireland, Würzburger in Germany and Improvention
in Australia to mention a few. In addition to improvising Kaisa does scripted
theatre, creates music, teaches communication skills and works on many other
art projects.
Kaisa loves sparkling water and has way too many dresses.
