Cindy Pittens loves human development and improv. So both paths have had the fullest attention in her life. She studied social work, theatre academy (Koningstheaterakademie) and Innnovative training/coaching. So when she started CP IMPRO these two paths were combined. Cindy has been thought mostly by foreign teachers, like Keith Johnstone, Joe Bill, Shawn Kinley, Inbal Lori and Feña Ortalli. And she invites those (and other) teachers to Nijmegen as much as possible to let the Dutch improvisers meet with other perspective on improv!
As an improv teacher Cindy searches for truthfulness and connection. As well in character work as in the personal development of the participant. She is mostly interested in where you are as a player ánd human being. Especially in improv these are always entwined with each other and cannot be separated. If you want to learn as an improviser, you have to be ready to learn as a person as well. Her teaching is direct, compassionate and energetic. Cindy on stage is just as energetic and fully engaged. She loves big characters, big emotions and high stakes. Jump in, discover, learn and most important of it all, try to have fun with it!
