Tickets
Why do I have to make an account?
To make things easy. You register once. After that, it’s browsing, shopping and looking at your order history. And we won’t sell your data to data mining companies. Promise.
Can I get a refund?
Sorry, we don’t take back or refund your ticket. You can try to trade them at our facebook page though.
Is there a waiting list for workshops?
We stopped doing the waiting list, as the festival does not take back tickets, over the past few years we could hardly match any people on the waiting list. While at the same time, others exchanged their tickets through facebook. Disappointment all over…
Festival
Opening hours
The Compagnie Theatre is open from 9 am. You can get your coffee at the bar, meet other impro lovers or hurry to your workshop. At the front desk you can buy Festival t-shirts, tickets for the shows and workshops and ask any question you like. Do you have an urgent question beyond the hours below? There is always a floor manager of the core team present, just ask at the bar!
Compagnie Theatre, monday – saturday 09.00 – 01.00
Workshop coordinator present, saturday – saturday 09.30 – 10.30 and 13.00 – 14.30
Front Desk, sunday – saturday 16.30 – 23.30
I'd like to teach at IMPRO Amsterdam. How can I apply?
We don’t have an application process for teachers. We select the teachers from the players who perform at our festival, and Dutch improvisers from our network.
I'd like to play at IMPRO Amsterdam. How can I apply? (International players)
You can only apply to perform with a late night show. The main cast is invite only.

I'd like to play at IMPRO Amsterdam. How can I apply? (Dutch players)
1) Main cast: Each year we hold an audition show to pick the 6 best players as the Dutch cast of the festival.
You can enter if:
You are a teacher or active purple/yellow player at TVA.
or You’ve been a supervolunteer last festival and have enough improv experience.
2) Late night: Apply with your own show and maybe you’ll be selected to perform in one of our late night slots between 22:45 and 23:30.

Why can TVA players audition to be in the Dutch Cast of IMPRO Amsterdam?
TVA was the founder and main organizer of IMPRO Amsterdam for over 20 years. The TVA volunteers made the festival into what it is today. Only recently has IMPRO Amsterdam slowly become more independent.
