For real impro addicts IMPRO Amsterdam 2012 offers a special Late Night Programme up in the Kleine Zaal of the theatre. We have asked 4 Amsterdam impro groups to showcase a format that is new, exciting, experimental or otherwise worthwile watching. Two shows are in English and two in Dutch.
Late Night Shows start 15 minutes after the main show ended, and last 30-45 minutes. Entrance only for those with tickets to main show. No reservations possible.
Monday January 23rd
Under the influence of… puppets by Impromptu, featuring Bert Apeldoorn (45 minutes)
Musical impro theatre groundbreakers Impromptu and impromaestro and puppeteer Bert Apeldoorn’s scalp-pricklingly lifelike foamsters get together to bring you a magical, comical, musical, scary, touching, intriguing, twisted, unnatural, unrepeatable performance of Under the influence of… puppets.

Alex van Warmerdam – geïmproviseerd (in het Nederlands) by Theatersport Vereniging Amsterdam (30 minutes)
De Topmodule van TVA verdiept zich in het genre van de Nederlandse acteur, schrijver en filmmaker Alex van Warmerdam. Bekend van films als Abel, De Jurk en De Noorderlingen. Hyperrealisme met droogkomische situaties en een zwart randje! Voor wie van ongemak, jeuk en theatrale improvisaties houdt is deze Late Night Show een must.
Thursday January 26th
Weerwolven (in het Nederlands) by Placebo (45 minutes)
Placebo Improvisatietheater neemt u mee naar Wakkerdam. Een eenvoudig dorpje, waar de rust wreed wordt verstoord door een weerwolvenplaag. ‘s Nachts slaan de wolven genadeloos toe en vermoorden ze een dorpeling. Overdag leven de burgers in angst. De onrust in het dorp neemt toe. Wie is te vertrouwen? Wie is een weerwolf? En wie overleeft deze bloederige voorstelling? Aan het publiek de taak de weerwolven te ontmaskeren voor het te laat is.

Rockumentary by easylaughs (30 minutes)
Improvised documentary in which we see interviews and footage of the four members of the greatest band that never quite made it. We learn about their lives, their loves, their successes, their failures. As well as seeing rare recordings of some of their best-known songs.
